New York City , NY - The Official 4th Anniversary Celebration of the Brazilian Film Festival (BFF) will be the Yemanjá Music Project© .

(YMP) and the most sought after invitation of the festival to be held Tuesday, August 8th at 8:30 PM at Luna Park , Union Square in Manhattan and sponsored by Cabana Cachaca, the first luxury double-stilled Brazilian rum to be introduced to the US . The Yemanjá Music Project will benefit the Dreams Can Be Foundation, a non-profit organization that reaches out to Brazilian street children and abandoned youth, while supporting programs that save lives. YMP is a thematic event, presenting global and multi-cultural traditions through live music, dance, and visual artists.

International event producer, Geo Darder, known for his famous Rio de Janeiro New Years event and the Havana Film Festival, has partnered up with top New York promoters, Rocco Ancarola, Jayma Cardoso, Lolo Silvera, Maria Rita-Caso and Alma's Joann Jimenez to welcome YMP to New York after an incredibly, successful June 2006 launch in South Beach, Miami. YMP is inspired by the rich cultural traditions that occur on the beaches of Copacabana in Brazil at the end of each year. Yemanjá, goddess of all oceans is honored with a procession, ritual drums and offerings, in hopes for a prosperous and healthy New Year.

YMP believe in creating international events that bridge cultures and unite groups of similar interests. says Darder of the YMP project.

Broadening international relations through global music and cultural traditions and placing them in the mainstream. Yemanja is recognized in many other countries as a unifying element in their religious traditions. From my global events, I have gathered a diverse crowd of local and international celebrities and people of all spiritual beliefs to unite in a positive international media event. From this concept emerges The Yemanja Music Project.
